George Emil Baumbach

OBITUARY

George Emil Baumbach was born in Crawford County Pennsylvania, Aug. 2, 1863, where he resided with his parents, John S. and Mary E. baumbach until he reached his manhood. He received his high school education at Blooming Valley, Penn.

He was united in marriage to Sarah Deere on March 31, 1896 at Superior, Neb. When he first came to Nelson, Nebraska, in 1892, he was employed by Me. R. M. Gourley, on the farm where he has lived this last year and where he passed away on Dec. 12, 1933, age 70 years.

He became a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Nelson in 1909. He and his wife were the caretakers of the Nuckolls County Poor Farm for 21 years, where he was as kindly thoughtful of those under his care as of his own family.

He was ever a kind and loving husband and father and a generous friend to all who knew him.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, seven daughters, and two sons; Mrs. Gladys Shaw of Superior, Neb., Mrs. Louise Snavely, Superior; Mrs. Mary Theriault, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Ruth Hoover, Wichita, Kan.; Mrs. Stella Mouzakiotis, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Kathleen Young, Wichita, Kan.; Maxine, Delos and John at home. Three sisters and a brother; Mrs. W. A. Voigt, Mrs. W. B. Jones, Charles Baumbach of Union City, Pa., Mrs. Glenn L. Spencer, Erie, Penn., and 12 grandchildren and a host of friends.
