Bryan–College Station is a vibrant twin-city metro in Brazos County, East-Central Texas, located about 83 miles northwest of Houston and 87 miles east-northeast of Austin. College Station had around 120,500 residents as of 2020, while Bryan had approximately 84,000. By 2025, their combined metro population has grown to nearly 270,000, making the area one of Texas’s fastest-growing regions.


At the heart of College Station is Texas A&M University, a major research institution with a sprawling campus. Its most famous venue is Kyle Field, a legendary football stadium that holds over 83,000 fans and offers one of the most electric atmospheres in college sports. Game days bring massive crowds, tailgating traditions, the iconic Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, and the unforgettable Midnight Yell.

In addition to sports, Bryan and College Station offer rich cultural experiences. The George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum is a major attraction, featuring exhibits on American history and artifacts like a section of the Berlin Wall. Downtown Bryan is known for its historic charm, boutique shopping, local dining, art galleries, and the popular First Friday community events.


Outdoor and family-friendly activities are easy to find. Lake Bryan is a favorite spot for fishing, boating, hiking, and enjoying live music by the water. The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History offers interactive exhibits on wildlife and paleontology. Visitors also enjoy local wineries, farmers markets, and seasonal festivals that showcase the region’s unique charm and hospitality.
