Anglers can look forward to catching a variety of fish, including largemouth bass, white bass, hybrid striped bass, channel catfish, blue catfish, flathead catfish, crappie, and bream. Lake Palestine hosts several bass tournaments throughout the year, attracting fishermen from across the region.

Spanning approximately 18 miles in length and boasting 135 miles of shoreline, Lake Palestine covers a surface area of 25,500 acres. It has an average depth of about 16 feet, with a maximum depth of 58 feet. The lake’s dam stretches 5,270 feet and stands 70 feet above the streambed.
The area's temperate climate, with an average annual rainfall of around 40 inches, supports abundant wildlife and birdwatching opportunities. With a bit of luck, visitors might even catch sight of an American Bald Eagle soaring above the lake.
Residents and visitors alike appreciate the laid-back, country atmosphere that Lake Palestine offers, all within a short drive of city amenities. Golfers will find several courses in the area, many of which can be enjoyed nearly year-round thanks to the mild weather.
Surrounding the lake are charming small towns such as Cherokee Landing, Cuney, Frankston, Berryville, Coffee City, Fincastle, Moore Station, Antioch, Evelyn, Chandler, Galilee, Noonday, and Pine Trail Estates.
